Modern Millie Handbags and Hats is a small company based in Cornwall. The handbags and hats are designed and handmade by us in our workshop.
The inspiration for our designs comes from feelings and moods of living in Cornwall. We use themes such as; Summer days at the beach, parties at sunset, picnics by the soft river landscapes, & the changing colours of the seasons. Modern Millie is modern and funky, but she is also romantic and nostalgic. The handbags and hats have a vintage quality about them and we hope that this makes them collectable and cherishable.
We are really excited about our new wedding collection Modern Millie Bride. The collection is a fusion of contemporary and vintage themes that have evolved from such diverse sources as Audrey Hepburn, a Cornish hedgerow in May and the transient nature of the sea that surrounds us. The designs use a variety of stunning fabrics, luxurious linings, handmade flowers and finishing details chosen carefully to compliment each exclusive creation. If you do see a 'sold' bag that you wish you had bought, please let us know and we may be able to make something similar, although please remember that it will not be exactly the same!
